Celebrate Independence Day the old-fashioned way in Wimberley.  We have a parade like the ones you remember from your childhood, full of floats, music and fun.  The 2006 parade had over 75 entries and 2007 promises to be even better.  The children's and pet parade starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Square and goes to ACE Hardware.  The main parade starts at 10:00.  Following the parade is the afternoon Jubilee on the grassy, shaded grounds of Ozona Bank on RR 12.  There will be a patriotic concert by the Wimberley Community Chorus and Community Band, followed by live music until 3:00.  Food and drinks will also be available.

This year's parade theme is "The Spirit of Wimberley" and prizes will be awarded for entries that best capture the theme.
