Blue Hole Polar Bear Plunge

 

 

The City of Wimberley presents the first annual “Blue Hole Polar Bear Plunge”
at Blue Hole Regional Park on Monday, January 1st from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
Start the year off right at Blue Hole Regional Park for the first swim of 2018! We will start the
event with a 30 minute guided hike with Blue Hole staff and members of the Texas Master
Naturalists. Starting at 2:00 pm, we will have our first ever Polar Bear Plunge in the Cypress
Creek! After the plunge, everyone is welcome to warm up by a roaring fire at the McCord-Welp
Overlook and Fire Pit. Admission is free, and donations are encouraged. Make sure to bring a
change of clothes and a towel.
Schedule is as follows:
1:00 – 2:00 Welcome and Guided Hike
2:00 – 3:00 Plunge in the Cypress Creek!
3:00 – 4:00 Fire at the fire pit
Blue Hole Regional Park is just east of the Wimberley Square at 100 Blue Hole Lane, off Old Kyle
Road near its junction with RM 3237 in Wimberley, TX.
